RCL’s Volunteering Day with Landcare Australia
We had a great day on the banks of the Lane Cove River, getting good and grubby weeding and planting trees to help regenerate the bush.
At RCL we have a strong focus on ESG, not only for the companies we invest in, but at a corporate level as well. In previous years for our company wide volunteering day we have helped out at the Wayside Chapel in Potts Point, preparing and providing lunches to the local community.
This year we decided to partner with Landcare Australia and focus on the environment.
We started the day with a leisurely kayak up the beautiful Lane Cove River, before getting stuck into the hard work. It was great to see the whole team working tirelessly and sacrificing their delicate office hands to rid the bush of as many thorny weeds as possible.
Landcare Australia is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision of all Australians actively caring for the land and water that sustain us. For almost 30 years, the organisation has worked collaboratively with federal, state and local governments, corporate partners, sponsors, and individuals to build capacity for the Landcare community to better manage Australia’s crucial land and water assets. Landcare Australia delivers hundreds of projects annually through the volunteer efforts of local community groups, Indigenous groups, and the more than 5,400 Landcare and Coastcare groups that make up the Landcare movement.
